Shane is originally from the “Mile High City” of Denver, Colorado, where he began flying at the age of 14. After attending college, flight instructing, and flying charter, he began his airline career at the original Frontier Airlines in 1985. Subsequently he worked for Continental Airlines, Braniff, Piedmont, U.S. Airways, and is now a Captain at American Airlines.

In addition to his flying career, Shane has owned and operated a Pilot Simulator Training Center (FAR Part 142), led the certification team for Swift Airlines (FAR 121 Certification), and taught as a Professor of Aviation Studies at Arizona State University. Presently, he is Owner and Broker of Record for Continental Yachts in San Diego, California.

An accomplished commercial aviator for over 35 years, Shane currently still works in the airline industry. He has a unique background as an experienced aviator and mariner.
