Crys La Fata
Crys La Fata is an accomplished Talent Acquisitions Manager and Interview Coach with a strong foundation in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and learning and development. Crys earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Lindenwood University and built over a decade of experience in the private security industry. She excelled as an instructor in multiple disciplines including Basic Life Support, Management of Aggressive Behavior, and Security License Training. This background honed her analytical and strategic thinking skills, which she has carried into her aviation career. Transitioning into aviation recruitment, Crys has successfully managed high-volume, full-cycle recruiting efforts aimed at hiring pilots, operational leaders, ramp agents, and various other specialized roles. Her proficiency extends to tailoring interview strategies for pilots and ensuring candidates meet the unique cultural and operational requirements of aviation hiring. Crys’ expertise in this field reflects her deep understanding of workforce dynamics and her knack for connecting top talent with the right opportunities. In addition to her consulting work, Crys is a recently published author in the field of interview design and recruitment strategy, reflecting her creativity and commitment to professional growth. With certifications in Human Resources and Professional Recruiting, Crys La Fata's blend of technical expertise, creative flair, and dedication to nurturing talent qualifies her to provide pilots with the professional advice they seek. Outside of her professional pursuits, Crys resides in Atlanta, GA, with her wife, three dogs, and cat. She enjoys spending time outdoors, kayaking, and visiting national parks. Crys is passionate about creativity and loves to draw, paint, and write.

Tim Genc
After graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in Speech Communication and earning his pilot credentials, Tim Genc immediately started working as a Flight Instructor to build valuable hours and experience in preparation for an airline job. By the time his interview was upon him, Tim discovered his true passion was in teaching and mentoring. He chose to stay in flight training for the next 17 years, amassing thousands of hours of instruction along with a wealth of teaching and coaching experience. In addition to working with future or active pilots on résumés or interview preparation, Tim also hosts "FAPA Talk", the company podcast. Featuring aviation industry leaders and recruiters, "FAPA Talk" highlights pilot-seeking carriers' and schools' hiring practices, pathways, benefits and, ultimately, what it takes to work with the best companies aviation has to offer. Tim is a Chicagoland native. When not spending time with his family, he enjoys writing, music, Dungeons & Dragons and diving.

Tom Smith
Thomas Smith is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ professional with an undergraduate business degree from The University of Toledo, Master’s degree in business and finance from Arizona State University, and personal financial planning certificate from Kennesaw State University. Tom started his professional career as a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch and spent 15 years as a Vice President of fixed income securities with both The First Boston Corporation and Lehman Brothers. He is an experienced individual income tax preparer with H&R Block. Entrepreneurial and administrative credentials include founding principal and Chief Financial Officer of a startup environmental contracting company. Formerly held FINRA Series 7 General Securities, and FINRA Series 66 Uniform State Law Licenses (Stock, Bonds, Options, Limited Partnerships, and Mutual Funds), Life and Health insurance license.

Matthew Willard
Matthew Willard obtained his degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Hawai'i. Matt's knack for numbers make him the perfect addition to the FAPA team. He assists with all the back office duties of filings, purchasing decisions, financial analysis, and projections. When the south shore of O'ahu has a respectable swell, Matt will be on his board catching a few waves.

Nick Van hoff
Nick van Hoff serves as FAPA's Director of Technology. With a Computer Science & Engineering degree from UCLA and experience with Azure Cloud Services, IT, web design, database administration, networking, and cyber security, Nick serves as the technological backbone for FAPA services. In his down time, Nick can be found tromping through the woods or tackling passion projects - ranging from creating a card game to building a global real estate tool.

Tori brings a unique perspective to our team, leveraging her 10+ years of marketing experience, with a specialization in branding and web design, to craft clear and engaging digital and print materials. A graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Advertising & Design, Tori's keen eye for detail ensures our client communications are informative and visually appealing.

Dan Huntington
Daniel S. Huntington is a Boeing 717 captain with Delta Air Lines. He previously served as first officer with American Eagle, and first officer and captain with ValuJet. Huntington, 57, is an Airline Transport Pilot, holds a Flight Engineers Certificate and has a masters degree in Math and Computer Science from Emory University.

Louis Smith
Louis Smith is a retired Northwest Airlines captain, completing his career flying the DC-10 on international routes. Captain Smith began his airline career with Hughes Airwest in 1976. He holds an Air Transport Pilot (ATP) rating, a Flight Engineer (FE) certificate and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee (Martin). Smith, a veteran of the United States Air Force, flew the C-9A on aeromedical evacuation missions from 1971 through 1974. Over the years, he has been quoted in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Time magazine, Aviation Week & Space Technology, USA Today and many others. Smith has also appeared on CNN during a live broadcast, on National Public Radio as an expert panelist discussing a pilot labor dispute and on CNBC discussing the pilot hiring market in the U.S. and overseas.

Mark Stevens
Mark is a recently retired Delta Air Lines flight officer after serving as Captain of a B-737. Stevens, 65, is an Airline Transport Pilot and has a Flight Engineers Certificate. He is a 1981 graduate of the University of Michigan Business School.

Mike Tobiason
Michael (Mike) Tobiason, a graduate of Montana State University, began his career in public accounting with the international accounting and consulting firm of KPMG in Midland, Texas. During his 5 year tenure with KPMG, Mike was an auditor providing independent audit services for a wide variety of public and private companies throughout the US. Mike joined the firm of Anderson ZurMuehlen in Montana where he practiced tax, audit, valuation and other consulting services during his 20 year tenure with the firm. Mike was a Shareholder, Office Vice-President, Director of the Consulting Business Unit and Board Member. Prior to the formation of AZADA CPA and acquisition of Arlint CPA, Mike was the VP of Finance and Secretary Treasurer for a Las Vegas based indoor hydroponic farm. Mike specializes in small business and personal tax preparation, tax planning, business valuation, litigaiton support and expert testimony in financial, valuation and economic damage matters. Mike’s 30+ year career and diversity of work experience provides him the ability to assist his clients in meeting their desired business and personal financial outcomes.

Victoria has been a businesswoman since she graduated from Ohio University with a B.S. in Business majoring in Labor Relations and graduate work at Saint Francis University in Labor Relations. She had the first internship with the American Arbitration Association while in college and was the first female hired at Quaker Oats in Labor Relations. Moving on to being the first female Human Resources Manager at Bordon Corporation, Victoria decided to move into the IT sales world working for companies such as Gartner Group, Director of Sales for DMR Consulting and Director of Sales for Software Spectrum before going into business for herself. In San Francisco, Victoria staredt her own IT Consulting and Staffing company for 25 years with clients including BlueShield’s (Hawaii (HMSA), Puerto Rico (Triple S), San Francisco, BlueShield Association, Chicago), BofA, Wells Fargo in SF, AT&T, OnDeck Capital in NYC, BP’s Trading Desk in Naperville, IL to name a few. Over the years, Victoria has been an experienced recruiter in different businesses. However, my major strength is in sales and relationship-building. Her true passion is speaking with people to find out what they want to do with their career and help them reach their goals.
